Journey of the Universe (DVD)
We have discovered what no previouse generation knew - the ways in which our galaxies and stars, planets and living organisms emerged within the vast drama of the universe. Journey of the Universe guides us through an elegant telling of this epic story, from the origins of life to our present challenges. Today, the survival of species and entire ecosystems depend upon the choices humans make.
Journey of the Universe explores cosmic and Earth evolution as a profound process of creativity, connection and interdependence , and offers an opportunity to respond to the ecological and social challenges of our times.
Six Miles Deep
February 28, 2006. Members of the Iroquois Confederacy (also known as the Haudenosaunee or People of the Longhouse) blockade a highway near Caledonia, Ontario, to prevent a housing development on land that falls within their traditional territories. Their actions are led and supported by the Haudenosaunee clan mothers. Acting with grace and honour, they rally their community, demand recognition on their own terms, and lead a cultural reawakening in their traditionally matriarchal society.
Demystifying the book of revelation
Father Bill Furton is an expert of explaining parts of the Bible that baffle us. In this case, he also busts myths that have been perpetuated for centuries. 6 Sessions 1. The genre of apocalyptic literature and how to "read" it 2. Jewish sources, like the Book of Daniel, that inspired Revelations' author 3. The Basics: Who wrote Revelation? When? What does the book say? 4. What makes this book so attractive to so many 5. The "Rapturist" interpretation 6. A better understanding Difficulties of understanding aside, Fr. Bill explains that the message of the book of Revelation, while confusing to us, was clear to early Christians: Rome is evil, Christians should withdraw form Romans society, and they should do so knowing that it will cost them dearly. Christian non involvement and passive resistance will ultimately result in victory, but such a victory, like Christ's, may include suffering persecution and death.

Their 5000KM trip-trekking, sailing, portaging and paddling from the Prairies to the Maritimes-is captured in the feature documentary Finding Farley. When the family reaches their final destination (Mowat's Nova Scotian summer home). It is, as Kaarsten says, "an affirmation of what the land and animals had already told us...
