Dear Friends,
Putting together the 2008 Holiday Gift Guide has been one of my favorite
tasks this year in the bookstore. I spent time looking back over the books we've found a home for this
year, and thought about what our customers might like to give and receive as gifts this season. As I reflect on
this year, I'm reminded how generous and supportive friends of the bookstore have been.
Please look through our gift guide with everyone in mind -- your
church family and friends, nature-lovers, animal advocates, children, parents, seekers, activists. I've worked hard to
include something for everyone.
I also want to alert you to another good idea. Choose a gift package for your
booklover this year: include Planet Bean Fair Trade Coffee, Just Us! Organic Teas, Milk or Dark Chocolate, or Cocoa
Camino Milk or Dark Hot Chocolate and receive 10% off your book purchase. Kathy and I will put your gift package together
with cellophane, ribbon and loving care. This offer will include all books, not just the titles that appear in the gift
guide. This offer is good until December 20, 2008. You may even wish to include a gift certificate for a 2009 Five Oaks
